Now this is an interesting time for premium smartphones that are Best Smartphones to Buy Under 40000 in India. If you have a budget of 40000 rupees, then you can get some excellent options with up to date specifications, more than enough power for gaming, excellent cameras and quick charging. So let’s take a look at a favorite picks.

1. Nothing Phone 1

If you want a phone that breaks the mold and looks different from everything that is currently available in the market, then the Nothing Phone 1 should be high up on our list. It’s transparent design complete with a set of intricately laid out LED light strips will ensure that your fault stands out no matter where you go. The lights don’t change color, but will dance and sync to a ring tone or alert. Showcase the current charging status when plugged in and more. This mid-ranger certainly packs of a punch, mainly because its unique design is also IP53 rated for dust and water resistance. It also offers wireless charging at an unbelievably cutthroat starting price. So to sum up, even if you never use the Glyph lights, the Nothing Phone 1 is still worth considering for its smooth performance and premium design.

2. OnePlus 10R 5G (150W)

Next up on our list is OnePlus 10R 5G (150W) edition. Now this device was launched at 44,000 Rupees in India, but it is currently selling for 40,000 Rupees. So you can get it under your budget. If you are a OnePlus fan, then you will find it’s designed very odd looking, especially since it lacks the iconic alert slide up. It is one of the few phones in the segment to offer 150W wire charging and a 160W charger. Its camera performance is good in both daylight and low light conditions, but it isn’t the best in class, Battery life is quite good. And the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX SoC combined with the 120Hz refresh rate display works well in games.

3. Samsung Galaxy A53 5G

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G is powered by Exynos 1280 SoC that delivers budget level performance. So if you’re looking for a good gaming phone, this device might not be the ideal choice. However, it does make up for this by offering an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, which is a major bonus. In terms of camera performance, images and video quality is good in daylight, but average in low light conditions. Further the phone gets a 5,000mAh battery that lasts two days with casual use in our experience. This is my favorite Phone of Best Smartphones to Buy Under 40000 in India in this segment. Now you don’t get a charger with the box, but the phone supports up to 25W fast charging, overall, if you can compromise a bit on the camera quality and some pre-installed bloatware, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G can be a great option for you in this budget.

4. Xiaomi 11T Pro

Xiaomi 11T Pro is a good all-rounder smartphone. It does not stand out in terms of design, but it delivers very good raw performance, thanks to its Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC. Its AMOLED Display showcases accurate colors, and is also Dalby Vision certified. It offers up to two days of battery live with casual use on a single charge. You also get a one 20 W fast charger in the box. And the camera performance is also good except for the low light selfies. The Xiaomi 11T Pro is a great value for money Smartphone with excellent performance, clear studio speakers, and good camera performance in daylight. However, it comes with a plenty of preloaded apps and low light camera performance could have been better.

5. iQoo 9 SE

Coming to the iQoo 9 SE, this is a premium looking phone with a 6.62 inch, one 20Hz Super AMOLED display that produces punchy colors and is HDR 10 plus certified. The software experience with Android 12 is smooth and fluid, but this phone comes with too many pre-installed third party apps. You can expect top-notch gaming performance in fast charging support with a 4,500mAh battery. And camera performance in daylight is impressive, but we expected better from the ultra-wide angle camera.

Overall, the IQ nine SE is an impressive phone with good overall camera performance, fast charging, Clear stereo speakers and a crisp super AMOLED display. But you don’t get a headphone jack and no IP rating.

6. Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G

Another great looking phone in this budget is Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G. It has a glass bag with a laser micro edged finish. Its 6.5 inch full HD+ 90Hz AMOLED Panel delivers very good colors and contrast. Plus this Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for scratch protection. The Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G can also run game smoothly and offer solid battery life with super-fast charging. And on the software side you get ColorOS 12, but this is still based on Android 11 and not Android 12. So you should go for the Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G. If you want good battery life, solid design, brighten with a display and overall snappy performance.

7. Motorola Edge 20 Pro

And our next recommendation in this budget is Motorola Edge 20 Pro. This is a well-built smartphone with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front and back, and an IP52 rating for dust and water resistance.

It has a 6.7 inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. Further, the phone gets a 4,500mAh battery and 30W charger in the box. Now, in our experience, the photos taken in daylight, were good especially close-ups. Its telephoto camera can be useful for shooting distant objects.

But slow light camera performance could have been better. Overall the Motorola Edge 20 Pro is a 5G ready phone with a powerful SoC, excellent software experience, a five X telephoto camera and IP 52 rating.

8. Realme GT Neo 2

And finally, we have the Realme GT Neo 2. This is a solid mid-range gaming smartphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. That offers plenty of raw performance. Its 5,000mAh battery, easily lasts a day and a half even with some gaming session. The dual speakers are quite loud and make for an impressive experience while gaming and watching movies. The cameras offer good daylight performance, but low light shots are a bit average and so is the video quality.

So the Realme GT Neo 2 could be an ideal device for you if you’re looking for a high quality AMOLED display, excellent battery life and good gaming performance. And the only downside is its average camera performance. So these are some of the Best Smartphones to Buy Under 40000 in India right now.
