Changes in Residence Services
The period of residence for all categories of workers, investors and their dependents (two years only) has been determined for 2 years
Types of Residencies
1. Green residence for an investor or partner
- It is granted to registered individuals (as an owner – investor – or partner) on the establishment card inside the country
- Provided that his contribution to the company is (one million dirhams in cash or in kind).
2. Green residence for skilled worker at the level
- Granted to skilled workers according to the classification of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization
- When submitting an application to the system, when placing a profession, the system automatically accepts or rejects the application
- This type depends only on skilled professions only
3. Green residency for the self-employed
- This residence permit is for a worker who has a job from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization
- Proof of income (the minimum income during the last 2 years AED 36,000).

- Family members of a sponsor who is a citizen or an Omani GCC citizen
- Newborns, golden residence, senior workers for an investor
- Newborns, golden residence, CEO of Entrepreneurs
- New born sponsor a citizen or an Omani GCC citizen
Changes in Humanitarian cases Services
- In all residence visas and the residence of family members the age of the (son) who can be sponsored without the need to request a humanitarian case has been modified to become 25 years or less from the previous condition of 18 years.
- Holders of the golden residence may sponsor their family members (without the need to request a humanitarian case) and they are
- (Husband, wife, son (without age requirement), daughter, father, mother)
- The following services have also been modified to be available only to those over 25 years old instead of 18 years old:
- Residency, family members, children over 18 years old (renewed residency)
- Residence, students studying, or those who have completed their studies within the country (renew of residence)
Changes in Financial guarantee
The values of the new financial guarantees:
- Work visas for categories not subject to the law regulating labor relations for workers in free zones and tourist facilities (from 0 to 1000 dirhams)
- Entry visa for a single visit (from 500 to 1000 dirhams)
- Entry visa for multiple visits (from 500 to 2000 dirhams)
- Entry visa for a single visit (from 500 to 1000 dirhams)
- Multiple 5-year tourist visa (0 to 3000 dirhams)
- Financial guarantee for the recruitment of foreign workers category (from 1000 to 2000 dirhams)
- Entry visa for a single visit (from 500 to 1000 dirhams)
- Financial guarantee for the circular (from 2500 to 5000)
- Financial guarantee to cancel the residence of a guarantor without canceling the sponsored (from 2500 to 5000 dirhams)
- Entry visa for a single visit (from 500 to 1000 dirhams)
- Humanitarian cases (from 2500 to 5000) with a maximum of 15000 dirhams
- Family financial guarantee of the investor (from 1500 to 3000) with a maximum of 15000 dirhams
- Guarantee of subscription to the electronic system (from 2500 to 1000
Staying in the country (expiry of residency – cancellation of residency)
180 days of stay in the country after the cancellation or expiry of the residence permit for the following categories:
- Golden residency holders and their family members
- Green residency holders and their family members

- Skilled professions of the first and second levels in the classification of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization
90 days of stay in the country after the revocation or expiry of residence has been granted to the following categories:
- Skilled professions of the third level in the classification of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization
- Real Estate Owner
60 days of stay in the country after the revocation or expiry of residence has been granted to the following categories:
- Iqamas (Residences) issued in the presence of a guarantor or host
30 days of stay in the country after the revocation or expiry of residence has been granted to the following categories:
- The rest of the categories such as (disasters and wars, foreign pensioner, virtual work, investor or partner
Residency violations after the expiry of the deadline
The fine amount has been changed from 25 dirhams to 50 dirhams per day
